Mix1: Marble Serene Silhouettes
This is the card I made for the new Splitcoast Challenge, "Mix-ability". This week's challenge was to use two different mediums with two different challenges -- one shiny and one matte. Click here to visit the challenge.
Although it is coming through well, the background has a shiny finish. I created the background paper by taking strips of watercolor paper and crumpling them up. Then I applied color to the paper using reinkers and water. Once they dried I used Modge Podge with a glossy finish to adhere them. The matte finish is the piece that uses the Window Frames Framelits from Stampin' Up! and stamped with Serene Silhouettes. To highlight the matte finish I sponged the layer in Island Indigo.
