Muse9: Direction of Your Dreams

This is the card I made for the Muse card challenge. I was inspired by the colors, the layout and the embossing. I cut pieces of cardstock in varying widths and adhered them to another piece of cardstock. I embossed the sentiment directly on the cardstock. Rather than stamping the butterflies directly on the cardstock, I decided to emboss on velum and then die cut and punch out the butterflies.

And, now for the details...

The Stamps
SU En Francais
SU Word Play

The Colors
Whisper White
Basic Grey
Island Indigo
Pool Party
Lucky Limeade

The Embellishments
SU Rhinestone Brads
SU White Embossing Powder

The Tools
SU Beautiful Butterfly Bigz
SU Bitty Butterfly Punch
SU Elegant Butterfly Punch
SU Heat Tool
Versamark

And, now for the challenge...

  10. Beautiful card, Sue! Love those butterflies! Incidentally, without seeing your card beforehand, I did a similar tie-in of butterflies and a sentiment about following your dreams! Great minds think alike! LOL Beautiful!

  11. I love how your butterflies turned out. I haven't tried the vellum technique but seeing this I am tempted to give it go!
