FM103: Dare to Dream Hummingbird

This card was made for the Friday Mashup card challenge. The challenge was to use ruled/notebook paper and to add distress to the card. The backgroud paper was made from notebook paper. I distressed it by first sponging on Sahara Sand ink. I then stamped with Versamark the SU Medallion stamp and embossed. Finally, I crumpled up the paper and sponged the wrinkles with Soft Suede ink. I also embossed the hummingbird image. I painted over the stamped image with some crackle paint.

FM102: Dream with Serene Silhouettes

This card was made for the Friday Mashup challenge. The challenge was to use a brayer, a sketch challenge and to use butterflies. I have to admit...I cannot use a brayer. I have watched countless YouTube videos. I have tried on different surfaces. I have tried everything. It just never works out the way I want it to. So, I used some techniques tha tproduce results similar to brayers. I did both sponging as well as running the ink pad directly to the paper.

FMS78: Celebrate with Feeling Sentimental

This is the card I made for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge. I really wanted to use some bright and cheery colors because it has been so cold and dreary here in Missouri. I'm so ready for Spring. To make the little flower, I took the 1-1/4" scallop circle punch and cut out 3 pieces from Daffodil Delight. Using a bone folder I distress the card stock and then separated each piece to give me a total of 6 pieces. I attached them together with a metal brad and then scrunched each layer towards the center.

Muse9: Direction of Your Dreams

This is the card I made for the Muse card challenge. I was inspired by the colors, the layout and the embossing. I cut pieces of cardstock in varying widths and adhered them to another piece of cardstock. I embossed the sentiment directly on the cardstock. Rather than stamping the butterflies directly on the cardstock, I decided to emboss on velum and then die cut and punch out the butterflies.
